The following organizations received $2,000 grants in June 2020. All grants for this cycle were unrestricted and to be used as organizations saw fit due to COVID-19.

Asbury United Methodist Church - 1213 Pacific Ave., Atlantic City

  • To support monthly concert series, Jersey Shore Jazz Vespers, at the Church.

Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation - 1721 McKinley Avenue, Atlantic City

  • To educate Atlantic City youth about the historical and cultural significance of jazz music

Atlantic City Arts Foundation - P.O. Box 3, Atlantic City

  • To provide additional public art and free arts programming for the City of Atlantic City.

Bay Atlantic Symphony - 1616 Pacific Ave., Suite 308, Atlantic City

  • To perform two free pop up outdoor concerts in AC in the summer 2020 in partnership with The Leadership Studio’s outdoor pop up yoga series.

Mud Girls Studios - 203 Helena Drive, Linwood

  • To support creative employment and job training programs serving at-risk, homeless, formerly homeless, and economically disadvantaged women in AC.

Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City - 215 N. Sovereign Ave., Atlantic City

  • To provide support for the organization’s 2020 mural and community outreach initiative.

St. James Atlantic City Community Development Corporation - 101 N. New York Avenue, Atlantic City

  • To provide  for the success of the City’s youth and wellness of seniors in the City.

Sea Me Glow (in conjunction w/ non-profit sponsor, The Leadership Studio) - 161 S. Tennessee Ave., Atlantic City

  • To educate and introduce minority’s in the AC Community to beach combing, meditation, yoga, art and finding peace in things they may not be exposed to.

The Leadership Studio - 161 S. Tennessee Ave., Atlantic City

  • To train Yoga teachers in its AC studio as Recovery Coaches to serve those entering long term recovery.

Ducktown Neighborhood Community Development Corporation (in conjunction w/ non-profit sponsor, Stockton University) - 14 N. Mississippi Ave, Atlantic City

  • To create a traveling exhibition highlighting the history and culture of Ducktown while also celebrating the growth in community diversity.

 Communities Revolutionizing Open Public Spaces (C.R.O.P.S.) - P.O. Box 256, Linwood 

  • To fund proposed farmer’s market in AC in the fall of 2020.

 Covenant House New Jersey - 929 Atlantic Ave., Atlantic City

  • To support for its AC operations which provide emergency services and housing options to homeless and trafficked youth ages 18-21.

 Jewish Family Service of Atlantic County - 607 N. Jerome Ave., Margate

  • To support food pantry operations at 1333 Atlantic Ave. in AC.

The Parish of Saint Monica, Atlantic City, NJ - 15 N. California Ave., Atlantic City

  • To convert outdated technology lab into a new multi-purpose STEM research and design lab.

 The Spanish Speaking People’s Community Center - 3900 Ventnor Ave., Atlantic City

  • To assist the organization’s Multi-Service Program which provides clients w/ general assistance, clothing closet services, food pantry/bread distribution, information and referral services.

2019 Fall

The following organizations received grants in September 2019 in the amounts and for the purposes outlined below.  

Community Food Bank of New Jersey - 31 Evans Terminal Road, Hillside

  • $2,500 grant for support of the its Atlantic City food pantry.

Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation - 1721 McKinley Avenue, Atlantic City

  • $5,000 grant to educate Atlantic City youth about the historical and cultural significance of jazz music

Atlantic City Arts Foundation - P.O. Box 3, Atlantic City

  • $5,000 grant for general operating expenses for the organization’s 48 Blocks Atlantic City, Chalk About AC and ARTeriors programs.

New Jersey Tree Foundation - 1815 N. Arkansas Avenue, Atlantic City

  • $5,000 grant for planting trees in the First Ward of Atlantic City

Mud Girls Studios - 203 Helena Drive, Linwood

  • $3,000 grant for general operating expenses for its homeless women creative arts program.

Robin’s Nest - 42 Delsea Drive South, Glassboro

  • $2,500 grant for its after-school program to actively engage and empower the youth of Atlantic City (ages 13-18) to complete their high school education and work towards a more fulfilling and stable future by pursuing higher education, trade programs, entrepreneurship, and/or other economically prosperous pursuits.

St. James Atlantic City Community Development Corporation - 101 N. New York Avenue, Atlantic City

  • $5,000 grant for the organization’s Walk for Hunger and the Barbara Woodall Chill Summer Reading Program to Atlantic City youth prepare for their school’s reading assignments.
